How we work
Step 1
Discovery
A short scoping call, online, to understand what you need, what you already have and what success looks like.
Step 2
Fixed-scope quote
A written quote that sets out what is included, what isn’t, the milestones, the price and when each payment is due. No work starts until you accept it.
Step 3
Milestones
We deliver in agreed milestones. You review each one before we move on. If you want to change the scope, we agree the change and any new price in writing first.
Step 4
Handover
We hand over the source code, documentation and access, and walk you through them in an online session. Any temporary access you gave us is removed.
Step 5
Support
An agreed period of help after handover to fix problems in what we delivered, stated in the quote. Further support or changes can be quoted separately.
What you get
- Ownership of the source code we write for you once the agreed price is paid in full. The quote lists any open-source or third-party parts, which stay under their own licences.
- The code in a repository you control, with its full history.
- Documentation: how to set it up, run it and change it, and an overview of how it fits together.
- Any accounts, keys and settings created for the project, transferred to you at handover.
Support hours
Our support hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:30 (our time zone, UTC+4), except public holidays. We don’t offer an out-of-hours or on-call service. Reply targets are on our Support page.
Your data
- We never use your data to train AI or machine learning models without your written consent, and only for your own project.
- We only ask for the data and access a task needs, and agree the terms for handling any personal data in writing before work starts.
- At the end of a project we return or delete the copies of your data we hold, unless you ask us in writing to keep them.
How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Notice and on what we do with your data.
What we don’t do
- We don’t give financial, investment, legal, tax or medical advice, and we don’t provide any regulated financial service.
- We never hold, receive or move money on behalf of clients or their customers.
- We don’t visit your premises.
- We don’t guarantee business results such as sales or savings.
Every project must also follow our Acceptable Use Policy.
Pricing
Every project is different, so we don’t publish prices. You get a written quote after a short scoping call.
Who does the work
Our services are delivered by qualified independent contractors, under the supervision of our board.
All work is delivered remotely, on a professional services basis.
We work with small and medium-sized businesses and individual professionals buying for their professional work. We serve customers worldwide, except where we’re incorporated.
How to start
- Send us a short message with our enquiry form. Under “What would you like to talk about?” choose “Something else”, and say which service you’re interested in and what you’d like to achieve. Already a customer? Open a ticket from your account instead.
- We reply by email, usually within one working day, to arrange a short scoping call.
- After the call you get a written, fixed-scope quote. Nothing is charged and no work starts until you accept it.
