SynCore Cloud

Business file storage, private to your organisation.

Every cloud belongs to one organisation. Your files are kept in the European Union, or in the United States if you choose, using our storage provider’s data-location controls. You choose when you order a cloud, and it can’t be moved by mistake later. Clouds opened before this choice existed stay in our earlier storage in Western Europe, and each cloud’s page shows where its files are kept. Files are encrypted at rest and in transit. We don’t sell space for public file distribution.

What you get

Your people only

Only signed-in members of your organisation can open a cloud. Every member has their own account and can use two-step sign-in.

Folders and previews

Upload large files in the browser, organise them in folders, preview images, PDFs and text, and edit text files in place.

Private share links

Share a file, or on paid plans a whole folder, with someone outside your organisation. Links last up to 7 days on Free and up to a year on paid plans, can need a password, and you can revoke them at any time.

Trash for 30 days

Deleted files stay in the trash for 30 days, so a mistake can be undone.

Take your data with you

Download any folder as a ZIP file, or the whole cloud with a checklist of every file and its checksum, whenever you like. Our Leaving SynCore guide shows how.

A record of every change

Uploads, shares and deletions are written to an activity log you can read in your account.

Use it on all your devices

Install SynCore from your browser on Android, iPhone, iPad and computers, or open a cloud like a drive in File Explorer, Finder, Linux file managers and phone apps that support WebDAV, with a separate app password for each device. It needs an internet connection. Our apps for Windows, Linux and Android are in beta, downloaded from our website rather than app stores. See Apps and devices.

How a cloud is switched on

Free clouds switch on as soon as you confirm your email address. Paid clouds switch on by themselves once your payment arrives: straight away if you already have account credit, or when your bank transfer reaches us (usually 1–3 working days). Now and then we need to make a few extra checks first. If so, we’ll tell you within one working day. You get an email and a notice in your account when it’s ready. Nothing is shipped: the service is delivered online. The full details are in our Service Delivery Policy.

Each plan has a storage quota. When a cloud is nearly full you’ll see a warning; you can move to a bigger plan at any time from your account.

What it isn’t for

SynCore Cloud is for storing and sharing your own business files. It isn’t a public file-hosting or file-distribution service. There are no public file listings and no rewards for downloads. Illegal content, malware and material you don’t have the rights to share are not allowed. Read the Acceptable Use Policy; to report misuse, write to abuse@syncoretech.net.
